Bob Hayes has spent more than 35 years involved with the acute and long term health care needs of the communities served by Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center. He began his career as an administrator at the Malden Hospital. As part of his responsibilities, he was involved in the planning and construction of Glen Ridge in 1989, and has now returned as the administrator. Bob earned his Bachelors Degree and his MBA from Suffolk University in Boston. After spending many years in acute care he qualified for his license as a Nursing Home Administrator from the Commonwealth of MA. Bob and his staff are committed to a team effort to provide the highest quality of care in a supportive environment for the residents of Glen Ridge.

Director of Social Services: Darlene R. Jackson, LICSW

Ms. Jackson, the new Director of Social Service, comes to Glen Ridge with long term care experience having been the Director of Social Services at the Benjamin Healthcare Center in Roxbury. She is Simmons College School of Social Work graduate. Her area of focus was substance abuse and mental health. She received a BA from the University of Massachusetts / Amherst and a certificate substance abuse education from Westfield State College. “I love working in the field. My first job post graduate was at MCI Framingham.” Since leaving MCI Framingham, she has worked with a very diverse population with multiple medical and social issues in the hospital and community settings, (Welfare to-Work Program, Shattuck Hospital, and Brigham and Women Hospital) “I enjoy what I do and I love being a social worker. My schooling and years in the field has prepared me for and helped me to develop an expertise in what has now been referred to clinical case management. As a seasoned social worker, I enjoy working with and learning from a seasoned population.”

Director of Nursing Services: Christine Deschenes, RN

Christine has been at Glen Ridge since 1999 and has been in the Long Term Care field since 1990. She earned her nursing degree from Salem Hospital School of Nursing and a BA in Psychology/Business at Emmanuel College in 1993. She has been a Certified Director of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care since October 1997. Christine maintains all Federal/State and JCAHO regulations in the facility and has OBRA/MDS/MMQ and PPS knowledge and implementation

Rehabilitation Director: Brooke Stuart, OTR/L

Brooke has recently joined Glen Ridge as Rehabilitation Director and Occupational Therapist. She has been involved in short-term rehab and long term care since graduating from OT school in 1996. Brooke worked previously as an Area Director and Clinical Specialist for NovaCare and Rehab Works throughout New England. Brooke takes pride in her Rehabilitation team and the work they do to assist patients to reach their max potential and return to community living.
